CCEE Happy Harvest

Sabrina, our September CCEE challenge hostess, challenged us to make a card (or project) using paper or stamps which feature either food or drink.

When my husband and I were out walking in our woods the other day, we noticed a squirrel working feverishly to gather the acorns off the ground, and I thought "this is his fall harvest" as he gathers his store for the winter months.   That gave me my idea for my card today.

I stamped and colored the acorn images with Copic markers and hand cut them.   I heat embossed the sentiment with brown embossing powder.  My cards measures 4 1/4" square.

Please visit our CCEE Stampers' blog to see what the rest of the team designed.

Stamps:  Rubbernecker
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Really Rust, Bazzill Brown, Autumn dp
Ink:  Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
Accessories:  Classic Square and Postage Nestabilities, brown embossing powder, Versmark, heat tool, brown brads, ScorPal, dimensionals

Watch out those squirrels don't try and get these acorns too. Fun card.

I saw a squirrel hanging off the peanut feeder in the garden last night, the little rascal! I love acorns - I always find the contrast between the textured cup and the smooth glossy nut so fascinating. I'm happy to see them on your beautiful autumn card.

Like Anne, I thought you had an acorn recipe for us. LOL
I LOVE your card with the pretty acorns and the sponging really makes them and the sentiment pop out. Super Fall creation!

a layered autumnal beauty....fab coloring and sponging....I won't repeat my story about squirrels from SCS, but I think you might hide this card or the squirels will be burying it getting ready for winter...the acorns look sooooo real
