Blog Award

My sweet friend, Ellen at The Serendipitious Stamper, surprised me with this blog award today!

Now I have to do a few things, which are:

Pass on the award to five other people, who's blogs have inspired me. It also needs to be someone who has less than 200 followers.

Put a comment on their blog, so that they know about it.

Link back to the person who gave me the award and thank them.

Post the award on my blog.

I'm passing this blog award onto the following blogs of my friends who I think are outstanding stampers!

Thank you, Ellen, for making my day!

Sisterhood Sunday

Did you have the opportunity to check out our Stampin Sisterhood blog hop yesterday?  If not, you can scroll down to my post from yesterday to get the details.  You won't want to miss out on the chance to win a free stamp set!

Today brings us to another Sisterhood Sunday, #SS12.

We were given this sketch design

I was inspired to make yet another Easter card using another cute Rubbernecker bunny image.  This one is called Carrot Bunny, and I colored him with Copic markers.  That's liquid applique on his bunny tail.

My card measures 5 1/4" square.  I had to pull out my Coluzzle circle cutter to get a circle large enough to fit the sketch design.  My colors are Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery.

My stampin' sisters Ellen, Judy and Julia also made some terrific cards.  You can see them on the Stampin Sisterhood blog.

Here's my Spring "hop" creation.  My bunnies are hoppin' along the route, too.

I used this adorable Bunnies for Sale image from Rubbernecker's Easter collection.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  Since this is a Spring hop, I also wanted to use Spring colors.  I always think of brightly colored gingham patterned paper as being Spring like, too.  The Prima flowers are ones I've had for a loooong time.  I'm really trying to be good about using up existing supplies before I purchase anything else.

Here are the supplies I used:
Stamps:  Bunnies for Sale Easter
Paper:  White, Regal Rose, Green gingham dp
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette
Accessories:  Copic markers, border punch, circle Nestabilities, pink gingham ribbon, paper piercer, Prima flowers, Green Galore brad

Now, here's your blog hop route!
I'll be back tomorrow with a Stampin Sisterhood Sunday design to share with you.  As always, I appreciate your visit and your comments!  Have a fabulous day, friends!

Get Your Wild On!

Shirley is asking the CCEE Stampers to get their "wild" on this week and post something with their favorite zoo animal. I have several favorites, but my heart is especially fond of the penguins. To me, they are just so dang cute, and I love the way they walk.

I chose to make a post-it note pad cover, calling it my Purple Penguin Post-it Pad cover!  I made the big penguin with various Stampin' Up punches (circles, heart, five-petal, modern label, 1/4" circle, pendant).  The the three stamped penguins are from an old Stampin' Up set called Animal Alphabet.

Here's the back of the post-it note cover, using black and Almost Amethyst cardstock and circle punches.  I used velcro to close it together.

Here's the link to our CCEE Stampers' blog so that you can see all the wild animal creations my friends came up with.  We hope you'll play along with us, too!

Be sure to stop by this Saturday, February 25, for our Stampin' Sisterhood Spring blog hop!!

White on White

White on White is what Miss Shirley, of the CCEE Stampers, is calling for this week!  That's a tough one for me.  Oh, Shirt did say we could add a little splash of color if we wanted to (thank you, Shirt!!!)  My splash of color is the pretty blue in the pearls and the crocheted flower.

I embossed these leaf branches and the word "Friend" at the bottom of the card (both stamps from Rubbernecker's Fall Trilogy set) with Winter Wonderland embossing powder by Stampendous.  It has flecks of silver in it.

Here's a close up so you can see those flecks of silver a little better.

I die cut an oval out of the top layer and then placed an embossed panel with my Vine embossing folder behind the branches.  The top of the card was dry embossed and die cut with Stampin' Up's Textured Impressions embossing folder and coordinating Edgelits die.

Please swing by the CCEE Stampers blog to see the beautiful creations the entire team came up with this week.  We'd love it if you played along with us, too!

Sisterhood Sunday

It's Sisterhood Sunday, and this week we have an inspiration photo!

I used my Classic Heart Nestabilities to die cut my candy hearts out of Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, and Mint Melody.  I did three of each color and glued them together for dimension.  Instead of stamping words on my hearts, I stamped bees and butterflies from Rubbernecker's Create a Garden set.  The word "Love" is from the Fall Trilogy set.  I used the largest of the Scalloped and Classic Heart Nestabilities for my heart-shaped card.

You can have a chance to win one of Rubbernecker's terrific stamps, if you play along in our challenge.  Create a card around this inspiration photo, using your Rubbernecker images,  and link it to our Stampin' Sisterhood blog for a chance to be randomly drawn as the winner!  You can get all the challenge details on the blog, as well as view the creations of my Stampin Sisters Julia, Judy, and Ellen.  I hope you'll play along with us!

CCEE1206 Sketch Challenge

Shirley's challenge for the CCEE Stampers (and you) this week is to use a favorite sketch design and dress it up with brads.  I have many favorite sketch designs from various sources.  One of my favorite resources for sketches is the Mojo Monday blog.  I chose this sketch:

And here's what I came up with (I omitted the banner tags underneath the circle panel):

I cut one-inch strips of this pretty (retired) Stampin' Up designer paper and adhered them to cardstock before I die cut the large scallop border.  My brads are gray, even though they look black in my photo.  I die cut flowers from Blush Blossom using my Sizzix Daisies #2 die.  I sponged and curled the edges, but the flower looked too plain to me.  Therefore, I added this beautiful Prima flower.  I left off any kind of sentiment for now.

We hope you'll find some time to play along with us.  You can get the challenge details and see the amazing creations the rest of the team came up with at the CCEE Stampers' blog.

Supplies I used:
Stamps:  none
Paper:  Bordering Blue, Blush Blossom, Retired Stampin' Up dp
Accessories:  ribbon, gray brads, MFT large scallop Die-namic, Sizzix Daisies #2 die, Prima Flower

Have a Heart

The Clean and Simple (CAS) challenge on Splitcoaststampers today is to use hearts in your design.  I came up with these two using heart Nestabilities:

My base color choices for both cards were pink pirouette and very vanilla.  I also used some retired Stampin' Up designer paper on both cards.

On the card above, I stamped I {Heart} Hearts on the vanilla base cardstock and sponged the outer edges with the pink pirouette.

On the card below, I didn't use any stamps or inks, only my heart Nestabilities, which cut the small heart out of felt really well.  I also love my new embossing folders from Stampin' Up's Adorning Accents.

Thanks for your visit and comments today!  I appreciate them!
