CCEE Tag Time

Kathy has another great challenge for the CCEE Stampers' this week: make a tag or a card/project incorporating a tag. I chose to use a tag piece from one of my Studio112 tag booklets. I glued it to a piece of card stock and trimmed off the excess card stock to fit the shape of the tag.

I first stamped Rubbernecker's French Script bg in white craft ink. You can see this script better in my second, close-up photo. The Fall Trilogy image was stamped with Soft Suede ink, and I added copper Glitter Glue to the center of each petal. I sponged the outer edge of the tag with Soft Suede and then matted with Soft Suede card stock that I punched with my spiral notebook punch. I glued the tag to the Soft Suede card stock and then fussy cut to fit the shape of the tag, leaving just a portion of the spiral notebook punching on the left side.

I made the flower using a dryer sheet flower tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.  I used my Classic Circle Nestabilities to cut several sizes out of the dryer sheet, and I outlined the rim of each layer with the copper Glitter Glue.  The leaves are die cut out of Soft Suede card stock using my Tender Leaves Memory Box die.

Here's the closer view of the flower.  You can also see that I added thin copper wire behind the flower.  I curled the wire around some skewer sticks and then hot glued them to the back of my dryer sheet flower.

Here's a complete list of the supplies I used:

Stamps:  Fall Trilogy (#480); French Script bg (#483) by Rubbernecker
Paper:  Soft  Suede, So Saffron, My Mind’s Eye Wild Asparagus; Studio 112 Tags
Ink:  White Craft, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Bounce dryer sheet; Copper Glitter Glue, wire, brad and cord; spiral border punch; large corner rounder; Memory Box Tender Leaves die; sponge dauber

I hope you'll swing by the CCEE Stampers' blog to see what the design team came up with and maybe consider playing along with us!
