Kathy Bradley is the June CCEE Stampers' challenge hostess and this week she challenged us to make a nautical-themed card. This was a perfect challenge because I've been intending to make a clean, masculine birthday card for a family member whose birthday is this month. Thanks, Kathy!
This was a very simple and quick card to make. I colored my background with a mixture of metallic and watercolor pencils to create the sky and ocean. I blended the colors with a blender pen. The silhouette sail boat image is an old one I've had and I don't even remember where I got it. I glued the circle image panel to my piece of white card stock and then dry embossed it. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Bring on the Cake stamp set.
Please be sure to visit our CCEE Stampers' blog to see what the team members came up with and maybe even play along with us!
Have a great day!

Gorgeous, Charlene...I like how you embossed the image too.
Outstanding, Charlene! I really like how you made your water and sky. Great texture and looks like a fun card to create.
What a wonderful bg you made with the pencil colors!! Love this simple image, and the banner sentiment.
What a wonderful clean layout. Your layers of colour for the background look so effective - they remind me of a sand picture.
