Next up is my weekly CCEE Stampers challenge card. Joanne (aka JoJot) challenged us to make a card of encouragement. Specifically, she'd challenged us to incorporate a hug of some kind in our design, if possible. In case you didn't know, today is the last day of Hug Week. I used this cute image from My Favorite Things (MFT). I love how this sweet little boy is tucked right into his big ol' puppy's chest giving him a huge hug! I also used MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #29.
I colored the image with Copic markers. I added stripes to the little fella's shirt with a fine tip black Marvy marker. I used MFT's Die-namics Flower Trio (Rose Red cardstock) and Leaf Trio (Certainly Celery cardstock) and their Jumbo Scallop die (Soft Sky cardstock). The sentiment actually reads Puppy Hugs, but, for my purposes, I wanted only the word "Hugs" on my card, so I inked it up with a black marker and punched it out with a 3/4" circle punch.
Please stop by the CCEE Stampers' blog to see what Joanne, Frances, Shirley, Tosha, and Cindy made. Maybe you'd like to play along with us, too!
