Francie G., of our Doubledog Dare group, challenged us to make a wedding card this week. I'll admit that I've not made many wedding cards since I started stamping, but this challenge came at just the right time since a co-worker asked me to make a wedding card for her to give to her niece and nephew-to-be.
I found this Happy Couple image by Stampendous at my local Hobby Lobby. I colored the images with Copic markers, except for her bridal gown. I only added dazzling diamonds on her veil, her bodice, and hemline.
On the inside of the card, I used the same designer paper, but I cut out only a frame of it and applied it over the flourishes I stamped. I also added River Rock punched hearts. The Mr. & Mrs. sentiment are computer generated.
Stamps: Happy Couple (Stampendous); Baroque Motifs (flourish on inside of card)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Cryogen Sparkle White, River Rock, dp
Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black
Accessories: Copic markers, oval Nestability, paper piercer, ivory satin ribbon, pearls, word window punch, heart punch
I also wanted to share a photograph my husband took this morning of these two fire flies on our dining room window. He said, "Awww! They're spooning!" Yeah, right, hon. I'm sure that's what they're doing. Or was it me who said they were spooning and he said, yeah right. LOL! Everyone is a legend in their own mind!!
Isn't my hubby a good photographer? I think this is such a cool photo!

Fantastic wedding card. Super floral background and the DD's is the perfect accent. Bet your coworker loved this beauty.
And I just love your hubby's phenomenal photo! Fun story too!!
Hey, I thought fire flies were on fire! I have never seen one, except the fake ones at Disneyland....
These are them??? What the heck, where is the fire???? Snort!
This photo belongs in National Geographic although it clearly illustrates that fire flies have no fire which sorta might disappoint about 42,000 people!
Awesome picture Terry!
Your wedding card gets its own comment separate from the fire flies cuz you know one would not want fire flies buzzing the bride and groom. Although, maybe it would not be so bad since I just found out they don't carry fire!!
Okay, about the wedding card! Its awesome! And how lucky your friend is to be able to use you for your services. She will love it....love the background. Beatifully done Bertie!
