Elzybell Goes Modern Grid

DawnL is the July CCEE challenge hostess and for this first Monday in July, she has challenged us to do the Modern Grid technique. I had never heard of this technique before, but I always love learning new techniques. This one is an easy one, too! Stamp your images on your cardstock and then draw equally sized squares with a ruler and black pen being careful not to draw a line through your image.

I recently won this cute Elzybell Just Desserts stamp set from Stamp Owl when she was offering some blog candy on her blog. This is my first Elzybell, and it has such cute sentiments with it. I thought it would be such a fun set to use on the modern grid technique. Thanks, Frances!

My images are colored with Copic markers. I then punched a 3/4" post-it note to use as a mask to lightly sponge color in the doughtnut and cookie squares. Did a little doodling and voila!
