Delightful Decorations

I know many people are probably already tired of Christmas cards, but I must confess that they are my most favorite cards to make. I could make them year round!

I also must give credit where it is due. My Stampin' Up demonstrator had us make a slightly different version of this card at a stamp camp a couple months ago, and I used the basic concept to make a series of them for my Christmas cards this year. I sponged the ornaments with Elegant Eggplant, Bravo Burgundy, and Old Olive using a piece of punched out acetate for my guide and masking the sponged ornaments with a post-it note. You can sponge as light or as heavy as you want with the ink producing various shading effects on the ornaments. The other fun shapes were stamped with gold ink, and I used a gold paint pen to draw my ornament lines. I used the same color markers to highlight the different words in the Peace, Love, Joy sentiment.

Only three more days until Christmas! Are you ready?

well, I really am ready....I always keep my sister's packages to wrap at the last minute and she is sometimes a 'shaker'....so I am just wrapping/baggin right now...otherwise I am ready, Freddy!!

I just love your card....it is so very classy and such a classic look for Christmas....I bought the SU ornament punch but didn't play with it this year....so you will inspire me to play for my next years' stash...

hope you are enjoying the holiday...and also get some R&R during the holiday week

How elegant those sponged ornaments look - and such luscious colours, too - one classy card design.
Am I ready - almost. DH has a friend here tonight as they're gigging in town later, so sounds of the Hollys and Everly Brothers are drifting upstairs. Tomorrow it will be Christmas music :D and I'll finish wrapping the last presents.
Happy Christmas to you

Really, really pretty card, Charlene. I finally got my head out of the oven so am breathing for a bit. I still have a few gift calendars to finish up. Being sick for a month got me way behind but hey...Christmas should last all year anyway, right?

Merry Christmas, stamping buddy!
