Really Reasonable Ribbon Guest Designer

I am so excited to have been asked by Bonnie, at Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR), to be their guest designer today!  You can see the post at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings blog which shows two other projects I made.  I've also created a third card  to show you here on my blog.

I love it when a card comes together quickly for me!  Typically, I labor over my cards a long time.  For this one, I die cut two pieces of white card stock with the Big Scalloped Square Nestabilities.  I then scored 1/4" from the top for the back panel so it will stand up easily when I adhere the front and back together. I wanted a silhouette image, so I used this Weeds image.  Can you see the bee (brad) hovering over the weed?  I love this pretty Spring yellow ribbon from the Welcome Spring collection from RRR and ruffled it up with Scor Tape.  Isn't it a striking contrast against the black and white?

Supplies I used:
Stamps:  Weeds and Sentiment by Rubbernecker
Paper:  White, Black, and houndstooth designer paper
Ink:  Versafine Black
Accessories:  Big Scalloped Square Nestabilities, bee brad, RRR yellow ribbon, Scor Tape.

Thanks for visiting today!  Again, you can see my other two projects on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

Love that bright yellow ribbon against the black and white Charlene - stricking indeed! What a pretty shaped card - and cute bee! Loved your other cards on the ribbon blog as well! Congrats on being the guest designer today!

That's a smart way to make a shaped base, I'll remember that. I usually cut on the fold and then make a full front, which uses up more card. Love the pop of the yellow on the black and white houndstooth.

Charlene,
Beautiful and elegant. I have a winter suit that is made from this exact style of black/white houndstooth - and I love that pattern! Congrats on being a guest designer for RRR!
