Faux Wood

Shirley Quarry is the October CCEE challenge hostess, and this week she has us incorporating wood into our designs whether it be faux wood, embossed wood, stamped wood, real wood, etc.  I kept my design simple, and I chose to use the faux wood technique.  To create this look, I dragged my Going Gray, Creamy Caramel, and Whisper White ink pads over kraft cardstock.  I then scored the wood panels on my ScorPal and filled in the scoring with a brown marker and topped it off with my picket fence border punch.

We'd love to see what you can do to incorporate wood into your design.  You can get all the challenge details on our CCEE blog, as well as view the beautiful projects Shirley, Tosha, Frances, Cindy, and Joanne made.

Here are the supplies I used in my design:
Stamps:  Oval All
Cardstock:  Kraft, Chocolate Chip, pink dp
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Going Gray, Whisper White
Accessories:  prima flowers, brown brads, picket fence border punch, oval scalloped punch, dimensionals, marker, sponge
