CCEE1302 Something New

As I indicated last Thursday, Joanne is our CCEE Stampers' hostess for January. This week she wants us to use some of our new stamping toys. I didn't have any new stamping toys on hand, so, woe is me, I had to go shopping to get something new!   I ventured out to Michael's  and purchased this Martha Stewart Flourish Lace Punch Around the Page punch with my 40% off coupon.

(click on photo for larger view)

I stamped the background leaves from Stampin' Up's Season of Friendship in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede inks to create my own background designer paper.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's It's Your Birthday stamp set and reads "Someone like you should be celebrated every day."

I stamped the Penny Black Blush image twice in Rich Razzleberry ink, fussy cut them, adhered them together with dimensionals, and applied Glossy Accents over the flower.  Here's a closer view of the flower so you can see the dimension and a bit of the shine.

Please visit our CCEE Stampers' blog to see what the other team members have created and get the challenge details in case you're interested in playing in the challenge!

Have a great day!

Supplies I used:
Stamps:  Season of Friendship and It's Your Birthday by Stampin' Up
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede
Accessories:  Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch, Glossy Accents, satin ivory ribbon, dimensionals, 1" circle punch, paper crimper, Embosslits Beautiful Wings

Oh, the sacrifices we have to make! Poor thing; bet you just hated buying something new!!! But, what a find...never saw this one and I love it. My Michael's doesn't carry MS dies. I'm jealous!

Ha...I think we should have this challenge more often. It just gives us all an excuse to head to the craft store. You did big and got a beautiful patp. Now, I want it. Ha
I love your flower. When I saw it on CCEE, I thought it was sugar-coated but it was the Glossy Accents, I suppose. Beautiful card with a great sentiment.

What a horrible thought -- you had to go buy something new!!! You did good, girl. That punch is awesome -- as is your card.

You got two things out of the challenge - a lovely looking punch and a gorgeous card. I have to admit I left this one till last so that I could have more time to look at it. I love that stamp, and am full of admiration that you fussy-cut it. This looks so elegant and stylish with those rich colours, and the little textured butterfly is a sweet accent.
