CCEE Vellum Butterfly

It's Thursday and time for another CCEE Stampers' challenge! Our challenge this week is to use dry or heat embossing on vellum.

For my design, I stamped this beautiful butterfly image onto vellum card stock with Versamark and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I colored the butterfly with Copic markers on both sides of the vellum. I cut it out and adhered it to my lemon yellow paper flower.  I added dots of white acrylic paint.  I stamped the sentiment with Daffodil Delight ink.  The sentiment reads "cherished sister" and is part of a new 100+ words Box Word set by Rubbernecker.  The one-word stamps allow you to create your own sentiment/phrase!!!  I lined mine up with my stamp-a-ma-jig.

Here's a closer view of the butterfly:

If you'd like to play along in our challenge and/or see the creations the rest of the design team members made, please visit our CCEE Stampers' blog!

Supplies I used:
Stamps:  Butterflies & Dragonflies-Butterfly Side (SKU #812 SO) and Box Word Set (SKU #622) by Rubbernecker
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Garden Green, Vellum
Ink:  Daffodil Delight
Accessories:  Copic markers, brown felt brad, white acrylic paint, lacy square Nestabilities, dimensionals, Scor Pal tape, Spellbinder's Rose Creations (for leaves), stamp-a-ma-jig

Thanks, and have a fabulous day!

  2. That butterfly is fantastic, Charlene - on first glance I thought it was one of those bought stickers on clear acetate. What a wonderful use for vellum.

  12. I come to your blog and learn something new. I didn't know you could use heat embossing on vellum. I figured it would burn or melt. I really love this card. Oh, and I was thinking of you last night as I was making a card and eating the new peanut butter m&m's. Have you tried them? They are sinful.
