CCEE 1219 - Designer Brads and/or Buttons

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. There have been several things claiming my attention elsewhere lately, one of which was a trip to beautiful Tennessee with my husband, sister-and-brother-in-law, and good friend. We had a blast! I got to pet a penguin and see a black bear in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains!!! Both were awesome experiences! I will have photos to share soon.

In the meantime, it is time for another CCEE Stampers' challenge. I am the May challenge hostess, challenging the team members (and you) to create a card/project making your own designer buttons and/or brads. I made designer buttons with this pretty designer papers for my flower centers.

I was also able to do some shopping in Tennessee at this magnificent scrapbook outlet store where everything is 50% off! One of the items I purchased was a 180 sheet pack of My Mind's Eye designer paper (Wild Asparagus). It may be paper from 2008, but it is still beautiful and useful to me!! I used this particular sheet of designer paper for my designer buttons (the flower centers), as well as the Spellbinder's Labels 23 Nestabilities shape over the white.

I made the flowers from some pretty pale yellow mulberry paper that I also purchased at the scrapbook outlet store. I used my Classic Circle Nestabilities in four layers to make my pretty yellow flowers. After I die cut the mulberry paper, I wadded it up, opened back up and arranged for my flowers.  Here's a closer view of the flowers and button centers:

Please stop by our CCEE Stampers' blog to see what the team came up with for this challenge, as well as check out the details for playing along with us!

Here's a list of all the supplies I used today:
Stamps: Mother's Day sentiment by Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Soft Sky, White, My Mind's Eye designer paper, pale yellow Mulberry
Ink: Versafine Black
Accessories: Spellbinder's Classic Circles and Labels 23 Nestabilities, Sizzix button die, Verve A Cut Above sentiment die by Verve, sponge dauber
