Is it Spring Yet?

We've had a very mild winter (knock on wood) this year, yet still I long for Spring to be here! I was happy that Joanne wanted us to create a Spring card for our CCEE Stampers challenge this week! Actually, JoJo specifically said we were to make a Spring scene.  I didn't quite create a "scene" per se', but tulips happen to be my favorite flower and they scream "SPRING!" to me.  Imagine a whole garden of these beauties!

I water colored my tulip and then added a touch of lavender glue glitter to the bulb.  I separated the oval panels with dimensionals for depth.

Supplies I used:
Stamps: Tulips
Paper: Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: Soft Sky, Lavender Lace, Dusty Concord
Accessories: oval Nestabilities, tulips embossed frame folder, sponge dauber, ribbon, glitter glue, dimensionals

Be sure to swing by the CCEE Stampers blog to see what the team has created.  Perhaps you'd like to join us in our challenge!

  1. What gorgeous framing, Charlene - perfect for displaying your tulip. I'm not so fond of the parrot ones and those desperately frilly ones, but these simple, elegant ones I do love. They're one of the first flowers I can remembering having in my own little garden plot when I was a child.

I can't wait for spring either Charlene... there's nothing like the having longer days and the beauty of nature awakening as spring arrives.
