We had a fabulous time, of course, but our itinerary was a little too full for me this year. Typically, we have at least one "lay-low day" and I take that opportunity to visit with my friend Kittie. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me to visit her this year, and I was really disappointed.
I'm trying to convince hubby that we really need to move to a warmer, sunnier climate. After two days in Florida, my skin was screaming "Thank you, Charlene, for bringing in the moisture!!"
So, what does a somewhat sad woman do to brighten her day in cloud-covered, cold, and raining Michigan? She goes to her stamp room and gets busy stamping and making herself happy!
I created this card using the sketch design Roxie posted on Splitcoaststampers today.
I made my triangle shapes by cutting a 2 3/4" square of the designer paper and then cut that in half.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope the sun is shining where you are!
Stamps: Stampin' Up's Bring on the Cake

Great job with the sketch Charlene! love the colors and image you used here! so sorry you're home from the sunny vacation! we're getting snow tonight into tomorrow - wonder if you are getting it before us - or if it's coming from another direction!?!
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame you didn't get to meet up with Kittie - and that you came back missing the sun so much. DH feels like that every time we go to France or even more so Greece - he laments about living in a cold, damp climate. But you're right - it was sunny here today, I almost took my jacket off when I was out walking.
ReplyDeleteDo some happy-stamping and bring some sunshine into your craft room.{{{Hugs}}}
This is just gorgeous, Charlene...would be a great masculine card. Hey, come on down to sunny FL anytime...the guest room is always ready.
ReplyDeleteI am so disappointed for ya', gf, cuz I know you love to visit with Ms. Kittie.....oh well, next year add a few more days on the trip...you are retired, ya know!!!
ReplyDeleteHowever.....you surely did some mighty fine work in the stamp room...this is so dramatic and classy.....very artsy in feel...love it
